Home is a set of rows that fill themselves from what you watch. Empty rows hide automatically, so a fresh install looks sparse and gets richer over a week of use.
Trending titles offer Find in my services, which opens Search across the TV services this profile can use. Choose a matching result to see its details; a trending title may not be available from your providers. Back from Search returns to Home. The featured area is smaller on a phone held sideways, leaving more room for the rows.
What the rails show Free
- The hero at the top shows what’s on now or the thing you’re most likely to resume.
- Move down through the rows; move left and right within one. The featured area scrolls away as you browse.
- Rows follow your saved order exactly. Live TV, On Demand and For you headings mark each run of related rows.
On capable devices, staying on a live channel card for about a second plays that channel behind the headline. This preview is always silent — moving around the rails never starts sound, so it will not interrupt anything else you are listening to. Press OK to watch it properly, with sound. Moving on before the preview starts cancels it, so sweeping along a rail does not tune anything.
Customise Home Free
Startup screen and Home tiles lets you choose Automatic, Home, Live TV, Movies or Shows as your opening screen, and show or hide the Live TV, Movies, Shows, Recently watched, Watchlist and Favourites shortcut tiles. These choices are saved for this profile on this device. Home, Movies and Shows take priority over last-channel autoplay; Automatic keeps your previous startup behaviour. A new installation still opens provider setup, and child profiles still open Kids.
Choose a collection tile to show its rows, then All Home to return. The Watchlist row brings together up to 60 recently saved movies and shows from your current TV source. Hidden or locked categories stay out of that row. Add titles from their details page; changing TV source changes the list. You can also show, hide and reorder Watchlist through Choose rows on Home.
- Open Choose rows on Home.
- Turn individual rails off, or move them up and down into the order you want.
- Leave the screen — Home rebuilds immediately.
