Frequently asked questions
Installation, providers, playback, plans and privacy—explained without assuming you already know the terminology.
Getting started
What is TiviGlass?
TiviGlass is a premium IPTV player for Amazon Fire TV and Android TV. It gives you a fast,
native Live TV guide, Movies and Shows, Catch-Up and more. You supply your own lawful provider
details, and TiviGlass plays them beautifully on the big screen.
How do I install it on my Fire TV?
Install the free Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore, open it, and enter the code
tiviglass.com/apk. Downloader fetches the latest APK and walks
you through the install. Our setup guide covers each
step with screenshots.
Does TiviGlass include channels or content?
No. TiviGlass is an IPTV player only. It does not provide, host, or resell channels, playlists,
or content. You supply your own lawful provider details.
Which providers does it work with?
TiviGlass is provider-agnostic. It works with Xtream Codes logins, Stalker / Ministra portals,
and raw M3U playlists, so you can add the lawful provider details you already have. You can keep
several playlists and switch between them freely.
Which devices are supported?
TiviGlass runs on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick devices on Fire OS 5 or newer, and on Android
TV and Google TV devices, including Nvidia Shield and generic boxes. It is built for the remote
and the big screen, with full D-pad navigation throughout.
Premium and billing
What does Premium unlock?
Premium is our top tier. Choose yearly for £19.99, or the recommended
Lifetime option for one £39.99 payment. It adds
Recordings, the Sports Hub, Multi-view, Cloud sync and Cloud Backup, Advanced playback,
Trending, Channel filters, External player, Themes, and Channel auto-rename. Everything else
stays free for everyone. See the pricing page.
What is the difference between Essentials and Premium?
Essentials is a one-time £25 purchase covering Recordings, the Sports Hub
and Advanced playback. Every Premium term covers all paid features, including cloud sync, Cloud
Backup, multi-view, filters, Trending and themes. If you buy Essentials first, moving to Premium
Lifetime later costs only the one-time price difference.
Can I try Premium before I buy it?
Yes. Create a new TiviGlass account and every Premium feature unlocks free for
7 days. No card is required. When the trial ends, the core player stays free
and you can choose a subscription or Lifetime whenever you are ready.
Is TiviGlass really free?
Yes. The full core library remains free after the 7-day Premium trial: Live TV with a complete
EPG, Movies and Shows, Catch-Up, the personalised Home dashboard, favourites across all your
playlists, Parental controls, multiple playlists, and automatic updates. Essentials and Premium
are optional upgrades for the power features.
How do I pay, and can I upgrade later?
Billing is handled through secure Stripe checkout on your phone. On the TV you scan a code,
choose a Premium term, and Premium unlocks on every TV signed in to your account. Supported
international customers see a local-currency checkout price. GBP is the base price; when Stripe
converts a recurring plan, its local-currency renewal amount can change with exchange rates.
Stripe shows the amount before checkout and in billing notices. The TV never stores payment
details.
Is Cloud Backup included?
Yes. Cloud Backup is included with Premium. You can keep an off-device copy of
your setup, back it up on a schedule or on demand, and restore it on a new TV.
Do subscriptions renew, and how do I cancel?
The yearly Premium plan renews automatically until cancelled.
Cancel from your TiviGlass account or Stripe portal; you keep Premium until the paid period
ends. Lifetime and Essentials do not renew. For refund eligibility, see our
refund policy.
Playback and features
How does Catch-Up work?
Catch-Up lets you jump back to a programme that has already aired, straight from the guide,
where your provider supports it. It is free for everyone, because TiviGlass simply builds the
request against your provider's own archive.
Can I record programmes?
Yes, with Essentials or Premium. Recordings (DVR) let you save programmes for later, either
instantly or scheduled by time, and you can follow a series to record new episodes
automatically. It unlocks once your account is upgraded, on every signed-in TV.
Can I pause and rewind live TV?
Yes, with Essentials or Premium. Advanced playback lets you pause and rewind live TV, and
includes a low-latency mode for staying on the live edge during sport, along with frame-rate
matching, audio leveling and quality controls.
Is there a sports mode?
Yes — the Sports Hub (Essentials and Premium) is a live sports radar built from your guide. It
shows what's on now, starting soon and recently finished, with kickoff reminders, a spoiler-free
mode that hides scores, and the option to follow a team or league so their fixtures record
automatically.
Can I watch more than one channel at once?
Yes, with Multi-view (Premium). You can watch several channels at once in a mosaic with your own
layouts and saved presets, and the audio follows whichever tile you focus. It needs a provider
plan that allows multiple simultaneous connections.
Can I use an external player?
Yes, with Premium. The External player option hands a stream off to another installed player
when you prefer it. It is one of the Premium-only features, alongside Channel filters and Cloud
sync.
Why does a stream sometimes buffer?
Streaming quality depends on your provider and your network. TiviGlass uses a tuned playback
engine that recovers from stalls and reconnects automatically, but if a particular stream keeps
buffering it is usually a provider or connection issue rather than the app.
Are there parental controls?
Yes, and they are free for everyone. You can set a PIN to restrict access to chosen content and
keep the home screen suitable for the whole household.
Can I reorder channels and groups?
Yes, and it is free for everyone. In the Live TV guide, press and hold the OK button (a
long-press) on a channel and choose Move within group, then nudge it up or down
with the D-pad and press OK to drop it. Long-press a group in the category row along the top to
Move it left or right the same way — custom groups also get quick Move
left / Move right buttons. The same long-press works on your Favourites to arrange them in your
own order, and if Cloud sync is on your arrangement follows you to your other TVs. (If a group
is set to A–Z sorting, switch it back to the default order to enable Move.)
Account and sync
Do I need an account?
Not for the free features. You only need a TiviGlass account for Premium, for cloud sync, and to
keep several signed-in devices in step. You can add your provider and start watching without
signing in at all.
How many devices can I use?
You can watch on up to 5 devices on one account, and you can add more any time. Manage your
devices from the TiviGlass app on your TV or from your account portal — remove one to free
a slot, or add more whenever you need them.
How does phone sign-in work?
On the TV you choose phone sign-in and scan the code shown on screen, then complete the login on
your phone where typing is easy. The TV is signed in within seconds. You can start from the
phone sign-in page.
What is the difference between Cloud sync and Cloud Backup?
Both are included with Premium. Cloud sync keeps your settings, history, favourites and
reminders in step across your signed-in TVs in real time. Cloud Backup stores a full off-device
snapshot of everything — including the parental PIN, recording metadata and resume state
that live sync leaves out — on a schedule or on demand, so you can restore a whole TV in
one tap.
Can I have more than one playlist?
Yes, and it is free for everyone. You can add several playlists and switch between them, each
kept separate with its own catalogue, guide and history.
Legal
Is TiviGlass legal to use?
TiviGlass is an IPTV player only. It does not provide, host, or resell channels, playlists, or
content. You supply your own lawful provider details.
Where can I read the terms and privacy policy?
You can read the full
terms, the
privacy policy, and the
refund policy in full. They set out how the app
may be used, how your data is handled, and when refunds apply.
